Before becoming an author, Debra worked as a designer, educator, and entrepreneur—experiences that shaped her belief that creativity and learning go hand in hand.
She lives on the farm with her husband, two dogs, one cat, three fish, and a lively flock of quail and chukar who sometimes seem to inspire stories of their own.
